Hooptown will be hosting its 16th Annual Hooptown Summer Basketball Camp.
This year's Guest Speaker will be Hooptown Alum --- JR Buensuceso
JR played for Citrus College where he was a 1st Team All Conference (2008), 1st Team All State (2008) and won a CA State Championship (2007-2008 Season).
JR earned a scholarship to BYU-Hawaii (NCAA Div.II) where in 2009 he was among 17 Finalist chosen from a pool of over sixty top candidates from NCAA Div I, II and III Institutions across the country. More importantly JR was one of only two nominees from NCAA Div II ranks. JR holds the record at BYU-Hawaii for All-time assists per game in a season and has helped lead the University to their highest national ranking at #4 in the nation (NCAA Div II). JR will be graduating this December 2010 and plans to play Professional Basketball overseas.
